Rules and safety

StarCraft Costa Rica's community rules, safety for minors and what to expect from outside groups.

StarCraft Costa Rica is a fan community site run by Pura Vida Tech S.A. in Costa Rica. By creating an account or taking part in the forum you accept these rules.

Minimum age and minors

You must be at least 13 to create a forum account, the same age Discord, Google and Facebook require. If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and we ask you to talk it over together before joining.

We take special care of players who are minors:

Don't share your phone, address, school, personal photos or family details in the forum.
Nobody may ask a minor for contact details or photos, or to move the conversation to private messages or another app. That gets removed and the account suspended.
If someone makes you uncomfortable, don't reply: use "Reportar" and tell an adult you trust.
If an admin learns that someone under 13 created an account, the account is deleted.

Respect and fair play

Every league, race and skill level is welcome. No insults, harassment, discrimination or mocking new players.
No cheating, hacks, selling or lending accounts, or gaming the ranking (other people's accounts or a BattleTag that isn't yours).
No advertising for betting, casinos, crypto or sales without the admins' permission.
Ask before posting screenshots or details about someone else.

Outside groups and links

WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram or Facebook groups listed or shared on the site are not run by StarCraft Costa Rica, even though we review them before listing them. Each group has its own admins and rules. Keep in mind that when you join a WhatsApp group, every member can see your phone number. If you're a minor, ask an adult before joining any group.

Moderation

Admins may hide posts, remove someone from the ranking or suspend accounts that break these rules, and alert the authorities if a minor is at risk. To report a post use the "Reportar" button; for anything else, message the StarCraft Costa Rica Facebook page.
